Re: Baby bunny??
Just remember they are cute and sweet, but they don't stay that way. Once hormones kick in, and they're all grown up, they aren't as cute any more. This will not likely be a sweet, cuddly bunny. If you want a pet bunny, I'd recommend a more domestic sort. :D

Thanks, didn't think about that. The only reason that I don't get a domestic bunny is that most get so big, cotton tails don't get 10 lbs and have a full thick coat of fur so they shed all the time.

Re: Baby bunny??
Finally, I fed him again and he took about 1/2 Tablespoon of formula. He pee'd all on his own and is looking better and better. I'll get some good pics tomarrow hopefully

Thanks, I havent seen the white gator in a while. I didn't know they still had him. They did about 3 years ago. The bunny wouldn't even eat this morning but he seems so much more active. I'm hoping I can get him to eat some regular bunny foods soon because I can already tell this guy is more work that I am really liking

Re: Baby bunny??
If you do plan to keep him, getting the lil bun fixed would probably take care of the hormone problem. Helps keep em calm and cuddly and well behaved. (well, as well behaved as bunnies get, lol!) It's still an issue with domestic buns too, which is why it's always good to get them altered plus -especially in the case of females- altered bunnies tend to live longer. :) But yeah, rabbits are indeed a lot of work, no question about that!

Ya, we had one when I was younger but my brother took her when he moved out. It was about 15 lbs and was the sweetest thing. I am still telling myself I shouldn't keep him and I have a whole list of reasons.

Re: Baby bunny??
I went to feed him this morning and he was cold and limp. I picked him up and wraped him in his towel and he felt weak. He stopped breathing and died. This is really making me sad. I don't know what the hell I did wrong. Why the hell didn't they just leave him where he was? This is really a moment that has affected me since I have became so attached to him over the last 3 days

Re: Baby bunny??
Aww Jake, Im sorry, you acted on your instincts, and she had been doing fine. Its possible she had internal problems, and there was nothing you could do.
I'm sorry!
