The store called me today and said the guy forgot to bring my live fuzzy in with their order. They said he'll try to bring it in in the next couple of days. I was looking forward to today but this will put the feed attempt closer to his regular feeding day and put him at about two weeks with no food. It's probably better this way.

I called the store about my live fuzzy yesterday and they told me that it should be in on Thursday again. This is was getting frustrating so I stoped at petland on my way home and picked up a couple frozen fuzzies. Today is two weeks since he was assist feed so I figured why not try again. I covered the one exposed side of his tank when I came home from work for lunch. He had about 5hours of his tank being completly covered. When I got home after work I defrosted/heated the mice and dangled one around where he was hiding under some silk plants(seems to like that spot better than either of his hides now). He wasn't to interested at first but I nuged his body with the mouse and that got his attention. He came over to take a look and bang!! he took it and wrapped around it. It was awsome!!! I could see from the corner of the tank and watched him swallow it. I've been worried for the last few weeks but I'm pretty happy now. When or should I say if the live fuzzy comes in on Thursday should I offer it to him or wait for the regular feeding day? Can a live fuzzy survive long on it's own or should I kill it and freeze it if it's better to wait to feed again?

When I got my baby he refused for 3 weeks. Finally I left him and the FT mouse in the delicup over night and he ate. I would highly reccomend that.

a fuzzy should take food... just give it dog food and it should live for a week while you wait to use it for food.

Certain dog foods contain a chemical called red dye #3 that is lethal to snakes.Buy a small bag of rodent chow from the pet store if you decide to keep the fuzzy alive for some time.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the good advice. I feed him again today, this time a f/t pinky rat(yea!!, he ate a rat). He took right away. His eyes were blue too so he's about to shed, I didn't think he would eat until next week. I got the humidity up by misting a couple times a day and I put a damp cloth in the warm hide were he's kept himself hidden away for a few days now. Hopefuly it will come off in one piece and no eye caps.

I have two questions for you. What is a delicup? I've seen it mentioned a lot, but I don't know what it is. might be something I should try for Trey in a couple of weeks.
And what is that creature on the left of your sig picture? It is adorable.
