There will be a big difference. The dreamcicles are the proof ... the low white version of the dreamcicle would be nothing special if it were just a pied ... but mix that lav albino in and the amount of white doesn't even matter ... the animal is stunning!! :D

Yeah, I realize that - I am saying that the crosses that variably turn out to be low-white would be extra smokin hot.

I don't know, imagine a high-white super pastel pied... maybe with just a bright yellow head. LOL. That's one reason I think Pieds are so popular because you never know what you're going to end up with.

I wasn't saying that a low-white cross wouldn't look great....I was just trying to say that I didn't think you could specifically breed for it. If you took a low-white pied and bred it to a pastel-het-pied....hoping to get low-white-pastel-pieds...you might be "disappointed"....although really...who could be disappointed in ANY pied or pied cross??? LOL

So the amount of white on a pied doesn't dictate how much white will most likely be on the offspring? Say you have a high-white pied female and high-white pied male; would their offspring be a) all high-white pieds, b) mostly likely high-white pieds or c) any and everything from high to low white pieds?

As I understand it (and my understanding is admittedly flawed at times :P ) the amount of white is totally random, regardless of the parents' markings.

Out of curiosity - what is your preference Adam? Hi or low white? I really dig the hi white, but that no white (from what I could tell) was pretty awesome too!
