if you are just going to feed cgd and no insects than the moss shouldn't be a problem. if you do decide to feed insects you might go with just paper towel substrate, or you can pull or cut the back legs off the crickets and put them in something tall enough that they can't crawl out of and the gecko should learn to eat them out of that.

also, it looks pretty wet in there right now, which is fine since he has been stuck in a dry deli cup, but just make sure that when you do spray it is thorough, but not so much that the cage can't dry completely in several hours.

if you think the lip licking is cute--wait for the eyeball licking. that is SUPER cute! :lick: you are never going to get away with just having one. if you think bps are addicting, just wait! :P

Thanks!!! I am already addicted. I'll wait until I find out the sex of the one I have before deciding whether to get another :)

tell me about it! shipping is SO expensive these days. ugh. in any case, you'll probably have to wait at least 2 months before i'll (possibly) be dealing up that way. but you did say you were gonna wait, so it's all good! :P

    Yup! I got time...Nothing but time... :)

By the way, thanks everyone for the props on the new Crestie. Sorry I didn't respond to everyone individually! I am exhausted after this weekend of no rest and too much activity! I never even got to building my new hatchling/juvie rack. Although I did go out and get the supplies and flexwatt. I might get crackin tomorrow.

none at all. it is quite normal for your gecko to finger paint with its food. :) it may be a few days before it decides to eat. i usually don't even offer food at all for the first few days that i have a new gecko but it certainly doesn't do any harm to make it available to them just in case. he will eat when he gets more comfortable and settles into his new home.
