Very nice looking indeed! Have to see a few pics of her sides and belly to be able to judge it. I doubt anyone would give away a 3-4grand snake away for free ;)

True...but there was a time, not all that long ago, when even the "big breeders" did not realize the significance of that "look." Many yellow-bellies were sold as normals. And if she was just a "pet" to this guy, it is possible that she was given to him by a breeder who did not know about YB's yet...and then he would never have figured out what he had his hands on, so gave it away when he moved.

I know it'd be like finding a lost diamond ring buried in the sand on the beach and having no one claim it....but it is well within the bounds of reasonable theory for it to happen. And those pictures show enough markers to make a person go, "hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......" Don't ya think???

Sorry guys, but Hemlock is absolutely,positively, totally NOT for sale. (unless we're talkin thousands) She is my prettiest girl and I love her....super sweet too. Price doesn't have much bearing......I did however, breed her for the first time this year, and If she lays and has some little boys, I will let y'all know. I'll post pics of her when she is outta shed, so for now you'll just have to wait.....

Lol, Judy. I didn't think about that one. But I'm still gonna wait and see the pics of the sides and belly. I have seen some normals with that little spot on the head and they were just that: plain old lovely normals :) If it does turn out to be a YB, then its one lucky new owner and there should be two other people somewhere going :ohmygod: :laughing:

JLC, you got me so excited!!!! I went to that link you gave as a guide to YB's...and (much to the reluctance of Hemlock) I inspected her thouroughly for all the traits listed on the guide....and even though some are not as strong, she has ALL of them!!! 1)marking on head,2)flames!! 3) yellow on sides of belly(maybe not as much) 4) speckly-type markins on belly where "flames" start. I will post the much anticipated pics when she's outta shed, because I want a second (and perahaps a third fourth and fifth) opinion just be sure "mine eyes not deceiveth me".....I am totally stoked about this!!!

Hehe.....but now I'll feel bad if she turns out to be just "normal..." Even though she'd be about one of the prettiest normals I've ever seen! Once you can get more pics, maybe you can give Adam and/or Kara a nudge to ask for their opinions.
