    However, just to avoid problems (mostly ours worrying!), I cut a piece of clean cardboard to fit inside the one end of tank (for both Cleo and Carmen). We remove hides/plants from the cool end, place the cardboard down, I hold the live mousey with long tweezers at the base of the tail on the cardboard, snakey sniff, snakey slither close, snakey strike. Eats on the cardboard, which we remove after she slithers off to digest. =)
