I bought him as a pet, not to breed, so it's enough for me that he's pretty. If the seller doesn't know the hatch date, the breeder might. The seller names the breeder in the ad and the date he bought it. That may be enough to get the date from the breeder. I'm in the frozen Northeast too, so delivery will be weather dependent. The seller's only 3 1/2 hours from me, so I might even go pick it up myself.

If you can pick him up that would probably be better, I would love if some of the sellers local to me had stuff I wanted, although it's better on my wallet that they don't

Before I forget I wanted to mention one enclosure furnishing that my Antaresia seem to love - the elevated ledges and hides by Magnaturals. They use really strong magnets and even my adult Jungle Carpet has not displaced his Magnaturals shelf (though he is admittedly a smaller male). The Children's really love these elevated hides. My only caveat is that I am not sure whether the magnets would work through PVC: I place mine against the thinner plexiglas windows in my enclosures.

They are even less likely to work through the 1/2 plywood sides of my enclosure. They look cool though. Keep the suggestions coming.

I don't have a car, but I found a rental for $50, the same cost as the shipping.

You could modify the installation-;) Wood is very easy to attach things to. (Just make sure it can be dis-engaged for cleaning.)
