I have seen one at a reptile dealer here in Malaysia. Although long and slender, these guys are extremely strong. They often stay up in the trees in OZ and i have seen footage of a snake expert (mind you he was a big dude) struggling to untangle one that has wrapped itself around his arm. He needed another guy to help him. I dont think they make a good pet, although others might have different opinions.

ok got yea so that is why you don't really see to many people have them at least i don't. Im looking to get another snake this spring but im wanting a good feeding snake but don't take very large feed. Im wanting something that has either the markings of a redtail or albino. Im totaly lost on what to get, im tired of the size of the ballpython and want something else to add to the collection, i also have a ATB, im totally lost like i said. I would like a short tailed python but NERD has none. What are they like i really like bloods but don't want that thick of a snake.

Amethystine/scrub pythons are the same thing. They are known for often being aggressive to some degree. I have seen pictures of one eating an adult kangaroo. Not an animal for the faint of heart.

    They can grow over 10'.
