    Not especially tight, but the ribs in the area do feel odd.

    Odd as in how? Mushy? When he moves around, and you have your hand on that area, can you feel the muscles moving/pulsing?

    I just wonder what is going on with that area since he didn't have that problem when you got him.

    It's firm, ribs feel somewhat lumpy, and they stick out more there, not smooth like normal.
