    Instagram is another one ..
Now this may be genuine or just touched up but this is a dullard compared to the crazy colours I see regularly https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...68b8e4baef.png

That's a ring necked snake and I believe many are as colorful as that! Not as crazy looking as the saturated one though but being touched up seems okay to me.

touching up photos should be (and likely is) common practice in our hobby, as most of us know that regular photos never do our animals justice.

however trying to exaggerate and/or falsify colors is disingenuous and, frankly, scummy.

EDIT: almost all of us touch up photos; that's not a bad thing.

This reminds me, not just our hobby, that's actually a huge part of a good professional photographer's job is the post processing. Those clear and vibrant photos don't pop out of a camera looking like that! I always see people commenting "what camera do you use?" on a professional photo, as if buying the same camera would produce those results LOL

    YES.

from one professional photographer to another (sidenote: im nowhere near your level of profession [yes ive creeped sorry]): yes, this is exactly what every professional photographer does, from the best to the worst. not a single photo goes out untouched; like it just can't.

this is 100% common practice, but good photographers don't fake photos.
