That's what i mean, Chewy has no retail stores that I'm aware of and they dont sell any kind of reptiles or animals so their 'stuff' wouldnt come into contact with any said animals if they were sick or had parasites/mites.

If Petco and Petsmart and other chain petshops ship from store, their supplies can come into contact with said animals thus there is a chance of substrate getting 'stuff'. I mean it's a very small chance as i have bought tons of substrate from my local pet shop and Petsmart when i needed something immediately and i have never gotten critters from my substrate.

But anyways, I'm more just agreeing with Craig as i found Chewys stuff cheap, in stock in amounts i need and best of all free 2 day shipping that i actually receive stuff in 2 days.

Ha! I interpreted "no critters" to mean no chances of accidental purchases/rescues of reptiles from potentially sub-par store conditions.

I can attest that most of the stuff I've ordered on Chewy definitely does not come from any of the petsmart stores. Mine always ships to me out of one (or occaisionally two) out-of-state warehouses.

Same here. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ I've ordered various things, nothing super-fragile but like dog shampoo- that you wouldn't want leaking...no damage or problems so far.

And I used to order dog food & other stuff (like Carefresh) from Petco...I've seen no difference w/ Chewy as far as orders packed OK & not damaged. I actually
switched when Petco was out of my brand for a while...it wasn't anything they did wrong, but when I checked on Chewy they also had a better price on Carefresh.

Lol....ok guys. All my supplies that I ship out from my store has the Reno DC address. It's why I'm telling you, Chewy is owned by petsmat and they ship from the stores just like we do and all have the dc address not the stores. So you could have your bedding around critters. Not trying to argue just want everyone to have all facts.

OK, if you say so. I had the impression Chewy's order was from a warehouse too, & if I recall, it came from Texas.

I'm in Texas and mine never come from Texas, but it def isnt Reno DC either... I can't access the old tracking info now when I try, so not sure where it is from exactly.

Looks like Indiana, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Texas. Mine has always been fulfilled from Nevada.

Mine came from PA. It made it from there to my doorstep in roughly 24 hours. Any which way, I'm happy and will be ordering again.

Petsmart employee here. For all of the stores in my area
We do not keep any critters at a DC except for fish.

All of the other animals/insects/feeder fish in store are delivered directly from the breeders.
All frozen fish food and frozen rodents are delivered from the producers to store as well, so no risks there with food thawing and being refrozen midway.

Any online purchases done in store are ones where they pick them up in store. We never ship to homes from the stores here.
Can't speak for all stores as I only know of the local districts in SoCal

I use them too. Mostly for chinchilla food. And I use Auto ship. And get a discount on whatever I order.
