    Well, I'm glad you got through and your animal family made it through this scare easily.

    This also turned out to be an educational thread with lots of great suggestions!!

    When temps get hot here, I throw in 2 frozen bottles of water wrapped in paper towels up on the shelf inside the cages. The paper towels absorb the condensation and keep cool which releases into the cage. I keep 2 sets so i can cycles them out of the freezer and vis versa when they melt.

    I've been keeping ice packs in the freezer for 2 months now since is summer here.

    I've actually done this for my dogs a couple times in our old house - the old part of the house had no heat or air, and that's where they stayed during the day.

    Glad to hear the scare didn't last too terribly long.
