BP Addiction - How did you know/how long did it take?

For me: I was breeding Siamese Fighting Fish as a hobby and I had a WT ball python in the background as a pet for years. I knew about the albino morphs of bps, but, I wasn't going to spend thousands of dollars on one. When I went to my first reptile expo my mind was blown by the variety of colors and patterns-I was fascinated. Up until that point I had no idea that so many morphs even existed (the internet was in its early stages). A year later at another expo-I was looking for a particular high-end bp morph as my second snake pet, I was prepared to pay up to 2K (I considered that a lot of money lol). I was floored when the breeder showed me the 120K price-tag. "Seriously What the F? It is only a different color snake" I said (and they laughed at me). Rather than spend 120K on the snake, I bought a male and two females ($400) with the genetics to make it myself. Rather than acquiring one snake, I had acquired three, the addiction began...
