If thag 6 fails for an odd reason then all three tanks are down.

Alsk if if I ever needed to move one or separate I can

If i had to re do it all over, i would have saved myself all the cash just got got the two Hersptat 6 to begin with. But my excuse is they didnt have them when i bought all my other Herpstats.

You also got to remember, if you with all those smaller Herpstats, you need a lot of available wall outlets or run them all on a powerstrip.

Supposedly i think Jumpstarts will kill power if they get over 110F or something like that.

Im nothing but a Herpstat Cheerleader so im on Repeat [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

The jumpstarts only go up to 108 and ive been testing one for a kid up the road for 3 weeks and so far i cant find any kind of safety on it or info about a saftey. I don't trust them for a full-time tstat. Id run them for quarantine only or as backups.

Soooo odly enough with all this snow last night we had a power outtage. I'd say more of a surge where we lost it once for a minute or two and then an hour later it flickered.

My cheap therms didnt seem to miss a beat. They obviously went off when power went down but then they turned right back on and didn't loose settings or anything.

I guess I'm even more confused now. If these turn off when they get too hot and they shut off and come back on to same settings during an outtage what am I missing just the ramp up and down and all that ?

i guess a proper herpastat will prolong my RHP because it won't be a on off it will let it fire at lower usage.

The Herpstat EZ are way cool. If you like a digital display, then not so much. Personally I like the analog knob stuff!!! Like a MOOG synthesizer! lol

EZ2 and Herpstat 2 will do identical regulation. Same code under the hood. The big differences are:

    Herpstat 2 has:
Night drop with built in clock if you need to drop temps at night.

LCD allows setting exact tenths of a degree and you can see what it is actually getting to. The EZ2 does set in tenths under the hood and the LED indicator gives you a overall idea of temps.

H2 can show you your high and low temps. You can see how much power its applying.

H2 has the safety relay that can be set to turn off all outputs if a high or low alarm is breached.

So there are alot of features the H2 has over the EZ2 but not everyone needs those and as far as temperature control the EZ series is going to do the same job so its a great value. Plus some people just don't want to get involved in changing options in a menu. They want the ease of setting a knob and being done. :^)
