Actually, rats can be pets, are very intelligent and you are being offensive. Every living thing deserves respect. Regardless of how you feel about it's life, it is still alive.
How many people feel this way about snakes in general? I am sure that you don't like when they talk like that about your snake.

In America rats are regarded more and more as lovely little pets. I regard them in that way, as well as lovely little meals for my lovely little snakes. :P

First off, I am not your buddy. I am from America and as far as I am aware rats are not a DELICACY here. However, I was brought up with a respect for living creatures and just because I choose to own snakes and feed them rodents, doesn't mean that I need to make their sacrifice any more brutal than it needs to be That doesn't make the meal any better for my snakes and is completely unnecessary.

i agree.
i only said what i said because this guy had no respect for rats and their lives. its not the rats fault for being a rat so i think that enjoying and becoming entertained from watching a snake feed is not a good reason to be owning a snake. people would call me crazy, but i love rats for their personalities and how intelligent they are. so we should drop this subject and move on. phantom is not even posting here anymore so i hope he got the idea to be more respectful to living creatures.
