Re: Help! Found mites on my new suriname boa!!!
Thank you so much! I'll get the no-pest strips! So to make sure I should just hang it in my studio and remove all snake's water bowl and close the door and window for 24 hours right? Oh and I'm new to tub setup, may I know that can I cover the corners of the heat mat using foil tape to stick it under the tub? It's the zoomed type heat mat. I want to remove it from my old tank and use it under this new tub...since the one I bought seems too big for the tub. Thank you so much!

Since you're in a studio apartment I would forego the no-pest strips.

Mite eggs die if kept at 135*F for five seconds. Just be careful applying heat to your enclosure, as too much too soon can crack glass, or too hot can melt glues and plastics, cause warping, etc.

Again, these are all options for killing mites and eggs. I listed everything I could because what you use to treat will depend on what you can find locally, versus having products shipped, versus how many snakes you have to treat and your budget.

Yes you can re-use the heat mat but you have to be careful pulling it off of the old enclosure as that can break it. Of course you need to move the thermostat with it.

Thank you so much!!! My boa hiss me two times today when I'm doing the clean and move him to the new tub and swipe him with the spray... I feel so sad.... the first time is after I remove everything except his hide from his old enclosure and after cleaning them and try to bring him out.... the second time is when it's all done I try to open his new tub to check if the temperature is right...:( He hiss so long and loud like hating me so much...feel so depressed...:tears:
