And of course this was within moments of putting her back in her freshly cleaned and disinfected cage. Half pint of piss waterfall off the shelf...

They (retics) are all different which is obvious. I have little to no issues with urates or other waste, it is fairly regular here. I feed, he cleans out and I feed again.
True, the waste is more frequent than what some species excrete, but certainly nothing unmanageable or difficult to deal with.
"Fun enclosures" are really not a lot of work or as much as people think they are. Substrate in a natural form VS paper is a scoop and re-apply VS a complete change out. I guess this depends on the definition of "fun". Lots of floor clutter with retics won't last long as they are busy and will knock things over.
Perches VS a shelf? There is less chance of waste on a perch than a shelf but both are easy to clean. This is only my experience, but the snakes here will hang their tails off a perch and deposit waste on the cage floor. That said, there are some unlucky mishaps where the water source ends up being the toilet.
By the way, I do like the shelving and would add it if I could combine the two, I'm just partial to perches.
The floor plan in my retic cage consists of 1 hide and 1 water source. Other than that it is very simple. Most cages here in my room are similar.
Climbing comes naturally to retics, even the larger ones if the area of confinement is set up appropriately.
The actual forum where these pictures (below) were posted doesn't show them off because PhotoBucket ruined a lot of old picture posts by deleting pictures.
This is a repost on another forum.

I just can't ignore these behaviors.
To me, this is one of the most enjoyable aspects of these animals. Others may not feel the same.
Everybody has methods that work for them. I enjoy the instincts more than just having/owning the animal, I like to see them perform as many behaviors as possible in the space I can provide for them. I prefer watching them over handling them in most cases.
That said, I recommend the largest space the animal will comfortably acclimate to, and the largest space you can reasonably provide.
That cage looks nice but with a mainland animal, it will not be long before you are looking for something larger.
Good luck and have fun!

The only fiberglass resin I'm familiar with is Bondo....the stuff you fix dents with on a car. I mean, if that's actually what is on the cage already you're going to have to make it work but I don't think it's a really healthy thing to have around animals overall....maybe it's another type of fiberglass resin though.
Two days is the number I'm getting from a few car guys for the smell to clear out.

Fibergalss Resin is just that, like cars parts ect... It isn't unhealthy after it dries. The FUMES now are bad just like Oil Base paint so dont use it until the smell is completely gone. Take the Glass Doors out and let it air.. Id use heat or a fan too.. When I do the Silicone i turn the RHP's up and Heat/dry the piss out of them for a couple days before I put snakes in.

Yeah just let it air good. When you apply wet or sand that stuff its dangerous, but not when its solid and dried. Once the Funes are gone your ok, just dont let the snakes i with the fumes or they wil be like the kids that That Tied Pods & Huff Paint.

Friend has one.. small 3ft for is jungle carpet.... Their nice not what I imaged they be like...
Unfortunately I have many issues that prevents me from getting them now....
I live in a townhouse an too buy a 8ft by 30 in cage won't work in my bedroom not enough space an once its built does anyone know how many times it can be assembled an disassemble? Because it won't make it down stairs assembled... An their is no sense in buying a 6 ft cage when ultimately I'll need a 8ft..
