BC (was BCc) and BI (was BCi) are different species under the same genus. Central American would be a locality of Bi. I hope that helps! I know it can be confusing.

I like the name Pax, plus if you get any more you can stick to the 'roman god/goddess' theme for naming the new ones.

Oh and I had an idea. Maybelle (my bp) like never really is on her hot side. Shes always under a little log in the middle of the cage. And the thermostat got delayed to tomorrow. Do you think I could unplug mays and give it to the boa for the day? ( May also has a heat lamp to keep her warm)

Ive been reading alot of Roman mythology and I do like Pax c: I think it fits her! Pax it is?

Alright, I've got it narrowed down to 2 names.

Silin (Sil-lin, Which I got from Sillín, which means saddle in Spanish. But it's pronounced like seyean or something. I do just like the name Sillin. It's unique!)
Rojo (Red in Spanish, due to her red tail and patterning. Her nickname would be Roe :P)

I took Pax out. I've been thinking about it and I just don't think it fits her now lol. Also, these names are Mexican, hence the name, Central American Boa :) Idk why, but names have always been like the hardest thing in buying a pet! It's a tough choice.

If she is Central American, then she is a BCI / BI "CA" Is usually how it is abbreviated (i,e. a CA BCI or CA BI).

If you got her from a smaller local breeder, then she probably is a real CA. Sometimes the larger dealers mis-label their animals and they often vend shows, which is why I asked.

I would NOT take the thermostat from the BP. Get a dimmer or leave her heat pad off until you have the t-stat. If it is going to be a couple days, see if you can temporarily move the cage somewhere that stays a little warmer than the current spot.
