    I agree, but seriously, tell me how the snake would get duct tape on itself from this particular example of the OP's cardboard box? I don't see how it would ever happen in this unique case.

    that Tupperware "hide" is too transparent and will likely be rejected, as it lets the snake be seen from all sides.

    I tried to cover it up a little with some substrate. I couldn't get a picture because my phone's almost dead and the lighting stinks, but I think it looks a bit better :)

    Tape corners unstick and fall off over time sometimes, especially when wet or damp, and accidents happen. It's honestly better to just avoid it altogether than take that "I bet it won't happen though" risk.

    Granted op replaced the hide anyways (looking good op!) but just in case anyone else is not convinced duct tape = bad times. Here are the risky areas
