Re: Derma Ball
He didn't breed anything. It is an import, captive hatched in Africa, I believe.

Re: Derma Ball
I am assuming that this is similar to hairless rats. If so, good luck breeding it; I breed normal rats, and once tried breedin the hairlesses. Infamously, they are considered near-impossible to breed. It must have something to do with their genetics, or being fragile, or something.
It is pretty sad, in any animal breeding plan, to point out a genetic defect as a desirable and attractive trait!!

Re: Derma Ball
I think that that snake is pretty cool lookin'. Just out of curiosity, do you think that he's missing scales because of genetics or something else? Cause if that's genetics, you could make some pretty cool BPs.

Re: Derma Ball
It looks ok, and sure if someone GAVE me one I might take it. But I definately am not going to spend 30,000 on a POSSIBLE het BP for a trait that has never been proved, and in my eyes is pretty sick. Who wants to bet that the BP is not a genetic trait, and that its just a birth defect and this guy will be in for it when someone finds out! Grr makes me mad!

Re: Derma Ball
Id bet a good chunk of cash that it is genetic but I'm very sceptical of how healthy these snakes will be.

Re: Derma Ball
I don't know much about hets but it sounds like it could be a danger to the whole het world. I just don't see how it could survive. Like a person on life support. It's sad, and unfortunate.
