Preditor hunting can be rough.. What is it you dont like abt it if U dnt mind me asking?

I just don't love the hunt as much when I'm going after a predator. Not sure if this makes sense, but it feels unnatural for me. I also have a soft spot for a few predators, wolves in particular. Not that they are hunted much these days anyway. I do love bear/mtn lion hunting, but both require a lot of effort and time which I don't often have.

Gorgeous brook trout in the Sierras. They put up such a fight for little fish.

Catfish and pike are by far my favorites to fish for. I'm going to Texas to visit family and do some cat fishing. How long did it take to reel that one in? Or did you net it?

I'm on the wrong side of Ohio for that or I'd be down there all day every day

    Hi everyone,
I was just wondering who has gone wild turkey hunting, and where? I've never tried for them and was hoping to rush things a bit and get out this spring/summer. Any information would be appreciated.

Turkey are a pain.. you shld have a turkey call and go during breeding season, U will have better luck. They see very very well.. so be aware of that.

I planned to buy a call or just learn my own, I'm a birder so I'm decent at most bird impressions. I would likely go with someone more experienced, but I'm very interested in trying my hand at these birds. Maybe I'll go quail hunting next year instead.

Buy a turkey call... do urself a favor and save frustration and time. These birds are hard to fool. What do you plan on hunting w? Rifle or archery? Those real life size turkey decoys tht ur gun or bow can be fired thru via a cut out are pretty useful.... the standing decoys can be useful whn paired w a good call.
