Oh my God, I know! I'm planning on 5 days acclimation period (you guys thinks thats about right?)

SO side-tub 2.0 is just about done (i just need to pick up another dimmer and some more weather stripping at HD tomorrow morning) What you can't see in the pics is the 21" by 18" Flexwatt under the right side of the floor. That plus the RHP will make a nice hot spot, and as the panel's throw tapers off the tape will pick up the slack for a mid range, and then the left most 9 or 10 inches have no additional heat and has been hovering in the high 70's/low 80's. I think i'm going to start off with paper towels to keep an eye out for health issues, but am thinking of switching to reptibark or something similar in a few weeks.

She's scheduled to arrive by 10:30 tomorrow morning, how am i going to sleep tonight??

5 days should be good. Kind of depends on the animal. I almost made to to 5 days. I broke down and fed her last night. I got some rats from a show yesterday and wanted to offer her fresh killed. She nailed it like a boss. After eating she went in her warm hide and has been there ever since. Yeah the night before is hard. I must have checked the fedex website 50 times the night before.

5 days should be fine. Caesar ate about 2 hours after being in his cage lol. The boas all ate within about 3 days of being home. I have to say, I'm guilty of never waiting more than a 3 days at the most, usually I try in 2 days. Heck Dottie the BP ate the day after being home and she was labeled as a problem feeder and didn't eat for almost a month. If you have them set up right and they feel comfortable, I don't see why trying to feed them would be a problem.

Now if they refuse, I would wait 5-7 days before trying again as offering food constantly when they are new can stress them out. And during that time, make sure the temps and everything look and stay good. But boas rarely skip a meal haha. Rosey has declined one rat in over 4 years and Vick has never declined anything. And Caesar......if he ever declined anything, I'd probably pass out from the shock lol.

Lol I usually get about 2 or 3 hours of sleep on the night before new snake. It's like Christmas as a kid haha. I'm about to bite the bullet on a Northern Brazilian BCC male from Mike over a Basically Boas. Really the thing stopping me is I kind of want a female. And in a few months, babies are going to start popping up. And while I really want a Pucallpa BCC, I'm starting to really like the tails on Surinames and Guyanans lol. Just too many snakes and not enough room lol.

    SHE'S HERE!!!

Starting a new thread for her pics and progress!

Now the pain in the butt part is that i was not comfortable putting her in the side tub right away b/c i could still smell a hint of caulk odor, so i have her in a temp bin for a day or so - not ideal, but ok for now.
