This right here is my goal in 5 or so years. Pastel clown pied ball python plus prolly be pretty cool to throw in some enchi but that's pushing the statistics haha

I'm going to go against the grain here and say clown. It seems like that is the unpopular opinion but someone has to go against the grain XD

I love single gene clowns just the way they are and a lot of the combos are even better. When it comes to pied sure some of the combos are great, I personally love banana yellowbelly pieds, and that busy pattern is really wicked but the patches of white just aren't appealing to me at all. Since, as far as I know, the only way to consistently remove, or at least heavily reduce, the white is adding super enchi I probably won't end up working with pieds. It just doesn't make sense for me to work with a gene, especially a recessive gene, that needs to be paired with a super for it to appeal to me.

Only you can answer which one you think makes the best combos. My answer would be clown because of the pied's white patches but you might love the contrast that creates.

As I posted earlier I am just beginning to work both of these into my plans. I was going to wait but since this thread keeps popping up to the top and I'm pretty excited, I guess I'll share. I am soon to be the proud owner of a couple of beauties produced by our very own Deborah of Stewart Reptiles. The first is a 0.1 Hypo 50% het Pied and the other is a 1.0 Enchi 100% Dhet Clown/Hypo. The are both really nice looking examples of the base morphs themselves, but with even more exciting stuff hiding just beneath the surface. Can't wait to grow them up and unlock their potential. We've all seen some of the gorgeous animals Deborah has produced.

    Thanks Deborah!
