Yeah, I always have my "substrate" tub will premixed ReptiChips in it. I just leave the top off and stir everyday for a few days to dry it out. Then put the lid back on. That when I need it, its already pretty dry and I can just mix a glass of water into it to get it right. Because we all have "those" batches where it was WAY too much water and you got steamed glass doors for days haha.

After trying Herptopia for about a month, I like it a lot. Spot cleaning is very easy, and liquids do not spread very far.

The only downside is that it wicks up liquid so well, my ball python started peeing in his hide instead of the cool side of his tub. He used to sit on top of his hide waiting for cleaning anytime he wet the substrate; but now I guess it doesn't feel damp to him anymore, so he couldn't be bothered to take it outside.

Sorry, but that is kind of funny...

That is like my horse. It never fails, if I put a nice layer of wood shavings in her stall, she just pees and poops in it.
If there are no shavings inside, she just goes outside. Go figure ;)

Zina and Sallos I appreciate all the feedback on your use of Herptopia. I was thinking about making the change to it now that I've gotten my permanent PVC enclosures and your experience with the product is very helpful. Thank you.

Stuff sounds good, I have only 1 ball and he is in a T8 that is displayed. I love the natural look of things so I might have to get this!
