It's been a week since I noticed our banana bp missing. Still no sign of him despite going through the house once daily and my husband checking our appliances every night.
I feel horrible for having this happen. I was just so busy last week I didn't do much beyond checking their water levels and spot checking, not even thinking one of them would escape their T8.... fingers are still crossed that he'll randomly show up

Yep I have.... and I've created "hot spots" using heating pads and hides (one in each room) overnight

Tonight my husband opens the doors to the filtration system of his 90gal fish tank to do routine maintenance only to have my banana ball python fall off the doors in front of him... luckily he doesn't appear any worse for wear aside from being chilly. He's back in his tank on his hot side. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d4b66f1725.jpg

I'm in northern Illinois so it's been fairly chilly.

I'm so glad that you found him and that he's safe!

    Glad you found your snake.

I'm not overly familiar with how the T8 is inside. Just curious how it got out. Is there a hole from where the light comes through, or behind the light, I guess for the cable?

There's a hole for the light cord to thread out the tank but the light fixture is mounted over that. He managed to dislodge the fixture off its screws to get to the hole it was covering.
