As much as I love AP the wait time of 3-4mos is kinda nuts.. 2 months is no biggy but geez 12-14weeks is getting to long. (However I will be extremely happy and it will be well worth the wait) ;)

I thought 10-13 weeks was a stretch as well but when I figure they make them to order and at that price point, and as you said, it's well worth it. LOL

Yup I love their prices, especially the sales, however i wanted something specific & didn't buy anything on sale this time hahaha
I'd think as popular as they are they wood keep 20 of each model on hand... They sell tons of these things.

So all my adapters are glued and sealed into the new tubs and curing. Going to wait until Tuesday and then add aspen and snakes, LOL.

Wow those even look good!!! I think that was best instead of trying to cut anything. Im glad it all worked out. Cant wait to see a pic with the occupant all moved in hahahahah

( and you can get the small T8 in 8-10 weeks but the large are 14+.. But good things come to those who wait;)

I think you did well. If I were to buy a cage, I would want the larger one. I know BP's don't "need" it, but these cages still heat well and hold humidity. That is the main concern. Also easy to clean. Still enclosed on all sides and top. And the space can be filled out with "stuff". I kind of regret I didn't go larger with my one "Display" cage. I might just have to sell it and bump one size up. My large male totally fills it up, haha. And when he does cruise, its just so beautiful to watch...

So yeah, while the wait would kill me (patience so not my virtue) I would have done the same.

I sit for 15-20 min each night before bed and watch them. They come out of their hides like clock work unless its the week before a shed. At 8pm they start climbing like monkeys hahaha. So graceful that it chills me out watching them before bed.
Ohhh and I bet you could always sell your smaller enclosure if you wanted to upgrade.... The 18" high is the smallest I'd go just for the simple fact mine love to climb.

    Project done ;)

Looking forward to not having to re-clean tubs nonstop because they manage to tip the "non tippable" bowls just enough to empty half the water into the clean tub.

The Deli cup sits about a inch off of the bottom of the tub. Their is a wider edge around the top half inch of the Deli cup that prevents it from sitting down lower into the adapter. But that is fine with me, because this way they cannot push substrate into the Deli cup. It still sits secure, cannot be tipped or pushed out at all.

They are all excitably checking out the new bowls ;)

Next thing is possibly changing to a different substrate. I LOVE the Reptichip's ability to hold humidity and esp. to soak up a mess quickly and leave almost no odor. But I don't like how chunky it is. I always wished the "chips" were smaller. I don't want the completely ground up coco stuff, because that is a mess as well and doesn't soak up liquid as well. So I've been on the fence..

Then I've come across "Herptopia" bedding and it seems it is exactly what I wished for. Coco substrate that is still "chunky" but the chunks are far smaller. It is "fluffier" and softer. Very good at soaking up moisture because during manufacturing they "knock off" the dust almost completely. I believe it will be easier to spot clean as well because the chips aren't so huge and chunky. I have ordered 4 bags to try it out. So we shall see. For now my only beef is that there is only one size bag available and there seems to be no shipping discount by ordering several bags. I have heard they are in the process of changing sizes and such, so we shall see..

But for now, I'm happy ;)

That looks great Zina... How has it worked now that its been a full 2 day?
As far as Substrate..do you have a Pet Store or and Farm Supply store that might be able to take orders of what your looking for if you give them the info? Sometimes they get free shipping because sellers want them to sell/push their product...?

Water cups working out wonderful !!!

So much less work. I was constantly changing water because they would push substrate in or push the bowls over the heat tape.

Or dump half the water, and then I had to change out half the tubs Aspen. Usually right after cleaning the tub ...haha.

Didn't take long at all and they were being investigated and the first drinks were taken

They are great to "hold on to" LOL

    http://photos.imageevent.com/morgens.../large/3_3.jpg

And...the slanted/wider bottom of the adapter apparently makes a great "pillow". Ember was out like a light. Slept like this for quite a while, haha.

So I'd say, it was a success. A lot less work and mess now and the snakes sure seem to like them :)

About the substrate, there really is only one local petstore that would possibly stock something like this. And I really rather not do ANY business with them. I hate going there. They keep their reptiles simply pathetically. They make petsmart and petco look good. So I will actually rather pay shipping, god knows what I would bring home buying anything from that store..

Forgot to mention, I ended up using a different silicone/glue. The one I had popped off far to easily with the Pythons pushing against the dishes...

Just went back to the 1st page and seen the Pic. Thats odd, did all of them pop off or just one? Maybe just a fluke because It says 100% Silicone Adhesive. Who knows but looks like your all set now hahhaha and it looks like there happy as well :gj:
