    They are wonderful animals! He always comes to investigate when I step up to the tank and he's never afraid to bite at anything that dares disturb his waters. Very personable critter.

    Did I mention that he has the 'glow' gene? He glows under a black light (which is part of the 'night time' setting of the LED light strip, I don't leave him under the black light for long though. It doesn't seem to bother him but the backs of his retinas glow which must blind him...not that his vision is great to start with).

    What are you using to clean / filter the water incidentally ??

    Also what fish are in there with him ... aside from the White Cloud Mountain minnows ??
