Releasing pet snakes into the wild is just wrong for a number of reasons. I'm glad you snatched her up. That was a nice save, and now you have a beautiful pet. :)

i've had Garcia since june this year. i adopted her off kijiji from some guy who's fiance was making him choose between her and the snake. she's 5 years old and super friendly, apparently she was used for some children's reptile show/education stuff

Nice! It sounds like you got a well socialized snake. Great pick-up, and pretty, too!

I got Callista in June, too.

Have to agree--more normal pictures are needed here. (Mine are not visible at the minute due to Photobucket problems.)

Why too big to climb ??
Granted they're not as able as GTPs or BRBs or whatever but my aldukr so still live to climb and rarely fall , the branches aren't too high anyways ..

What do you mean by normal, well theres no such thing. Yes , they might have the same color, but wait, they don't their color can be darker or lighter, their patterns are all a little different. To me normal means the same, no variation. So there really is no such thing as a normal, just the natural morph. I wish the word normal was eliminated from the BP vocabulary. Lets just say thats a beautiful natural morph, cause normal is boring and that BP is far from boring.

    I agree totally !!!

Maybe you should start a movement going to rename the ' normal ' to something more appropriate .... Maybe they should be known as Royals and all others could go in front of that label ... Albino Royal etc etc

I agree completely! There's a lot of variation, so much so that many newbies, including me, have trouble distinguishing some morphs from normals. This also causes people to get normals and think they might be morphs or dinkers. All of them are nice looking.
