My youngest daughter's snake (the first for our family) was named Ginger (by her) for no apparent reason. All of those that followed were named after Disney characters.

My super pastel is called Hacker after a childrens tv presenting puppet dog in the UK who I love. I'm 35 btw.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

I was looking for a theme to use consistently for names. Ran across a fantasy elven names generating table and translator, where you take different parts and put them together to make different meanings, so that's what I went with. It allows me to keep coming up with different names for quite a while, while keeping them somewhat unique. Miqula translates as 'Kiss', because it just seemed like a particularly appropriate name for a snake. And because she kept trying to bite me. Since the snakes don't care what they're named, I name them for my own enjoyment. I name my keeper rats, as well - I've been using a Latin theme for them. So far I've got:

Mus, Pusa, Lux, Ebur, Imber, Umbra, Cael, Fumi, and a few that I haven't decided on a name for yet. I don't name the ones I'm going to feed off or put down for freezing.

For now i don't have a royal python but i'm going to buy one and i decided his name. I will call him Naga which means "snake" in Sanskrit, i choose this because i love indian culture and Nagas, hal-human and half-snake beings related to water element.

Im naming my baby ghost BP Atlas. I love all kinds of mythology and knew i wanted my names to come from that. i dont think a snake can hold the sky to the world, but the colors he has right now also kind of remind me of a map. Naming is just for a sense of ownership. whether they can hear you or not, it just makes the relationship between man and pet a little more special.:snake:

My Pinstripe came with the name Penelope. After doing some research I found out that her name is from Homer's The Odyssey. When I get a male pastel enchi, I plan on naming him Odysseus, and the baby I decide to keep out of the first clutch will be named Pan. After that it will more than likely be other gods and goddesses from all mythologies.

We went a few days without a name.

First she wanted "Lucifer", which would be great. But I have kids and pretend religious parents.

Then "Jake" was tried out but was kinda lame.

So I just said "Damien" and it stuck.

Jake the Snake is one of those era specific names and someone might not get the reference to. But Damien works :) Even less people will remember Damien being Jake the Snakes pet.

Just hoping that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat doesn't knock on my door with a Lizard in a bag...

Funny story though, I met Jake "The Snake" Roberts about a year ago at a show. He's still a beast after all this time, he entered the room and we locked eyes. He sized me up and said hi, was a pretty cool moment. My girlfriend is always impressed when the other Alpha in the room and I do our little ritualistic jock thing :p Hacksaw Jim Duggan was pretty cool too, but he had fallen apart over the years. Still a cool guy to be around :)
