one more thing, if its behind something large and you can see it but moving the object might harm it you can put out traps to try to catch it such as a heat pad under a tub with a hide in the tub, make the tub tall enough that the snake cant get out on its own and give it a path up to the top of the tub with soft bedding in side such as shredded paper or the very fine aspen. cordon off the area with boards or thick paper taped up eliminating all possible escape the snake should see the warm spot and attempt to get warm even if its just against the side of the tub it gives you a shot. also if you can turn off the power via breaker to the appliances if its stuck behind them such as stove or dish washer dryer clothes washer, i wouldn't cut off your deep freeze or refridge due to it rotten food can kill you and then where would your snake be.

Congrats on the find!! Now glue that little bugger to the bottom of his tank!! lol jk. Glad you found him. My buddy had his escape and his cat found it a month later lol. (cat didn't hurt it btw just followed it around the house:)) I had a few escapes. My normal got out of his tank and hid under the couch 5 feet away. My two pinstripe females escaped within days of each other (my rack is wood so the shelf settled a bit and gave them a small gap) one i found at the back of the rack curled up. The other i found snuggled with my pastel in the tub next to her.
