Where to find super dwarves

It's getting kind of frustrating trying to find one. I know this is probably the wrong time of year also. I've emailed a guy from Canada that I've seen on YouTube where he had a clutch of 100% kalatoas, but he says he hasn't worked with them since 2010 because Canada has been regulated. I don't know if it would be feasible to get them from the UK but there are a few breeders there. I'm hoping that once this season for shipping snakes opens up a little more with the warm temperatures not too far away I will be able to find one. Everybody I've talked to through email neither has gotten out of them or doesn't deal with 100% Anymore. Like most markets, it seems driven by morphs.

Remember if you are in the US anything you get has to be from the US no importation is allowed at this time. From Canada or Europe or Mexico.

Totally forgot. Do you think retics will suffer the same fate as burmese?

I certainly hope not. but the only thing we can do is support USARK and pray that they can beat it in court. its looking favorable from my understanding. there's a hearing coming up in DC. check out the usark website to read up on it.

The USARK situation will do 1 of 3 things:

1) The lacy act gets voted as having no control authority over animals crossing state lines
- this would allow any snake listed on the lacy act to be transported across state lines again, including all anaconda, Burmese, afrocks, and retics (if added)
2) Retics are not added on the lacy act, but state transport is ruled as governed under the lacy act
- case 1 would NOT apply, but retics would again be allowed for importation and crossing of state lines.
3) We lose both cases, retics are added, and we can not transport lacy animals due to the coverage of interstate transport by the Lacy Act.
- WCS (Worst case scenario) - this would lead retics to the fate of the Burmese over time.

Keep your head up and keep saving. More information will be available form USARK on april 1.

Anyone want to speculate on the price of a 100% kalatoa ? Maybe I can't even afford one!

My male was $300 just over a year ago, but the seller was motivated and didn't have to ship since I drove to his place and paid cash. I also got another retic at the same time so I got a bit of a discount on both.

I think the price has gone up on dwarves and SD's since FWS put retics on the Lacey list, in part because people want a retic now before they can't easily get one. While they don't want a mainland that can get up to 20 feet or even more, one that matures in the 10-12 foot range is manageable.

There is a super dwarf on a certain listing site in my state, been posted on and off for a month about a super dwarf, I believe albino, I'll have to check. He's asking 1,000 firm.

Albino is a mainland morph. The snake can be a high-percentage SD but not a 100% pure locality SD.

Ah, well that explains why he can't seem to get rid of it. Was wondering, but if hubby caught me investigating he'd have kittens lol.
