I cut all my clutches, only because I get impatient and want to see what I helped create......sorry for those who don't agree.

You should be fine. The longest I had one stay in the egg was 10 days after I cut! Longest 10 days ever. He came out fine. I found that my magic number is 58 days. Mine always emerge on day 58.

    Good luck.

Re: Cut eggs, snakes not coming out!
Hey everyone! Just an update, most of my snakes are out and really moving around. One of them is really tiny, and he disconnected from his yolk while it was still pretty big. But he has still been moving for a few days after disconnecting. I'll probably try seeing if he'll eat a pinkie here in a day or two just in case he didn't get enough nutrients after disconnecting. The other two that are out are bigger, one also disconnected from a very small yolk, about the size of a small grape, and the other one seems to have absorbed his. I have two more in their eggs but they are sticking their heads out and seem nice and happy.

I moved everybody who was out into a separate tub with slightly damp paper towels because they had a lot substrate attached to their yolk and umbilical cords and I didn't want it hurting them. They are all very active and I have a lot of hope for all of them now. I just wanted to thank everyone for the encouragement and the advice. I might have freaked out and tried messing with them more and more trying to "help" if everyone hadn't have advised me to just be patient.

    Thank you so much!
