These storms are coming from this darned El Niņo if you don't already know. And it's supposed to get worse.
There was a tornado warning in my area just a few days ago. I, being as phobic as I am of severe weather, rounded up all my pets - including my snakes which I stuffed into a bag - and hid in a closet. While we weren't hit by anything, I ended up cleaning snake pee out of my closet. Oh the joy.

Several houses in my neighborhood also got struck my lightning.

Look on the bright side though - frogs are breeding like crazy! They're everywhere and tadpoles are always a joy to find at local ponds and creeks. :)

    Its about to come down!!!

I ride my motorcycle to work and this will let me try some new rain pants I got. My Frogg Toggs kept leaving me with a soggy crotch...not fun. If it gets bad enough I have a bass boat I can take.

This is WAY out of character for our area. Yes, we get spring storms, but not this many this often....

My neighborhood has been fine as has the area around me. Other than my backyard but my trenches are working like a champ and the water has been draining well.

We do have some problem areas in Houston and have had some underpass flood. The most I have driven in lately was water just over the curb.

Just as I was typing this it started coming down HARD!!!! The dog is not going to enjoy going outside before bed.

A warm Pre-welcome to Texas! Warning though, DFW is a madhouse traffic wise. Hope you are a patient driver. Even though I grew up there and love it, I had to leave it for a slower pace.

    Best to You :)

I took her out and right as she was in the middle of her big business we had a lightning strike pretty close with some really loud thunder. She stopped right and the middle and ran to me under the car port. It was an act of congress to get her to go back at there and finish up. She is a baby.

My Koi pond is up at least 5 inches from the time it started raining. I hope it slacks up so I don't have to go out there right now and turn on my pump out so I don't loose any fish.

The trench I dug a few days ago is flooded over the sides and is a river going through my backyard to the street.
