Well after e-mailing and calling and leaving voice mails I still have received no response from the breeder. I am probably going to call my credit card company today and dispute the charges. So we will see what happens.

I'd call the card company; sounds likea good idea. I really hate when people sell you an animal and then do not follow up to see if everything's OK, or at least get back to you after you contact them. Sure they get back to ya before you pay, when they have to clinch the deal, but what about later? I wish you luck in getting some kind of compensation for all the grief this has caused. :(

More than likely I am gonna have to chalk it up to being a lesson learned. No more buying from breeders at shows. I am going today to look around at a couple of the local reptile places so who knows maybe I will get a new friend today.

Mac, I understand your considering that as the lesson to be learned, but I think maybe the lesson ought to be don't buy from unknown breeders at shows instead. You can do your research on the BOI on FaunaClassifieds and find out ahead of time who has a good reputation for healthy animals and good customer service. A lot of small breeders won't be on there, and then you have to make your judgement call, but getting animals at shows can be a good way to inspect the animal(s) first and avoid any shipping trauma.

Absolutely Marla, I will still go to shows but will probably not buy there anymore. On the other hand I would feel more than comfortable buying from someone like NERD or Alex Hue just from all the good things I have heard on this board about them.

Which when I decide to get another Blood I will probably give Kara my business.

I don't think you can go wrong getting a blood from K&K at NERD. But a number of very good breeders, large and small, can be purchased from at shows, as long as you know ahead of time who to look for. I would be relectant to buy from Joe Newbreeder at a show, but if I see something I want at Alan Bosch's table in three weeks, I won't hesitate to buy from him.
