Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
Big cheese does a very good job at making sure they are not wet when they package them .... I see what your saying but they actually come apart effortlessly

That's not a dumb question at all. They're vacuum sealed but once you open the bag they come out individually. They're never frozen together. I usually break them down into smaller freezer bags with 4-6 prey items in each bag then I put them in ziploc containers in the freezer.

their shipping has been $29 for months and while they say limited time time will only tell how much longer it will last

Hope it lasts. Rodent Pro's $25 deal is gone soon, if not already, but they are having a sale on Rats & mice right now too, which made the shipping deal even more attractive. I'm fickle, I'll go wherever I can get the best deal. It's kinda like couponing with frozen rodents. Since stocking up on XL rats & jumbo mice, (for my yearlings), it'll be a while before I have room in my freezer for more, so Big Cheese will have to wait for freezer space. Layne Labs has deals every once in a while, not on shipping so much, but they deeply discount their feeders occasionally when over-stocked, so it pays to shop around before ordering.

Big Cheese matches Layne Labs in quality/packaging/price and beats them big on shipping costs.
Big Cheese beats Rodent Pro soundly in quality and packaging. They're almost identical in price and shipping costs.
To me ;).
