I don't know I purchased him as a super black pastel since the pairing was both black pastel but he labeled him as a 8 ball online and on the reciept. He told me he doesn't believe there is a big difference between cinnamon and black pastel it's like butter/lesser or pastel/lemon pastel just slight differences in color. And I was curious too and did a little research and some people stated 8 ball is just a reference to any super form of the black pastel or cinnamon. I always thought an 8 ball was was cinnamon to black pastel as well. Confusing stuff!! :rolleyes:

Black pastel and cinnamon are two distinct morphs, not just lines of the same morph like pastel and lemon pastel. They are allelic and both of the super forms are unfortunately prone to kinking and duck billing, which IMO adds to the confusion between the two.

I'd always heard of 8-ball as black pastel cinnamon, though to me it makes sense to refer to super black pastels as 8-balls, especially when looking at the pics of your beautiful boy!

I'm going to use this thread as a progression thread every once in a while. At over 120 grams and doubling his weight in two months heres my little guy [emoji12]

He got a shade lighter after two sheds but still keeping that jet black super pastel look.. Hopefully it lasts!

maybe someday i'll have a nice all black BP like this one to go with an all white one :rolleye2:
