But whatever you do - avoid the temptation to put two snakes together. I know there are many cases where people have done this without a problem. But it only takes one time to make you thoroughly regret it. Like this guy who thought he'd keep his boa and ball together just for a short time...

His biggest mistake was mixing the species! It would have been less likely if it had been two BPs. However, I do not encourage housing together because it can cause health problems, safety concerns, etc..

Have you considered PVC caging?

You'd probably have to get rid of the tank, but then you could buy two PVC cages and stack them.
