Substrate pros and cons?

I just switched to a 50/50 mix of Aspen and Coco husk, the kind you have to soak that comes in a brick. The coco is soaked and rolled and squeezed as dry as possible, then mixed into the aspen, and it keeps the cage at about 50% that I'm seeing. it'll get misted occasionally as it dries (which will be fast, my house is DRY and the ceramic bulb will speed it up). Newspaper and whatnot is easier but I much prefer the look of the naturalistic substrate.
