    Yup I use RHP’s and you do need the larger ones because of the Hight if thats all your using like me. Mine are 150 watt running on 80%. If you ran Heat Tape you could get away with the 80 watt for just ambient temps.

    I like having an uth so the rhp is easier to control ambient with my current cages. I have two 65 watt rhps, wonder if they would heat those big cages... hmm..

    Yes they would heat it for ambient.. just not a Hot spot & ambient unless you used both and placed one on each end.. my 8’ used 2 RHP’s. One 150 watt on Basking side and one 120 watt on cool/ambient side.
