    At any rate, the male passed away a month ago. Even if you purchased another male today you should still QT it for 90 days. After that you would know whether or not the females were also exposed to anything potentially contagious from the one that passed away.

    Personally I would wait a month or so just to be safe before buying the male, especially if that means you can afford a much better one.

    No, no necropsy. And yes I've given up on breeding this yr as I always do a 90 day qt so I'm in no rush at all.

    Went to the Taylor, Mi reptile show Saturday and there was a guy selling nice looking male maker bananas for $350. I had the money on me but did the responsible thing and got parts for my pickup instead. Now I'm wishing I hadn't lol. Had another breeder offer me a spider het axanthic male and a het axanthic female for $200. They've produced 2 clutchs so far and 3 axanthic spiders. Also very tempting lol.
