    Actually, one pet rat and three breeder rats now. :) Yes, you can get ZooMed or other brand thermostats starting around $15-$20 on up to a couple of hundred dollars. Generally you can find them both online and in pet stores, and they are an excellent way to maintain proper temps. If you're measuring temps and humidity with an analog (dial-type) device, I'd highly recommend buying an AcuRite digital indoor/outdoor thermometer-hygrometer combo at WalMart or other stores for around $15. It is well worth the price. You can take floor temps on both warm and cool sides of your enclosure and monitor humidity all at once and have confidence it's going to be accurate.
