    I agree. OPs snake is a pastel (who knows how good or bad quality cuz the lighting in the pic is bad, but more likely on the lower end than the higher end). OP, if you want more detailed feedback than you've already gotten, a better pic will probably be necessary.

    blk02ssmonte: you kind of are hijacking. Generally it is better to start your own thread. Some forums prefer if you DON'T start your own thread, but this isn't one of them. :) Your snake looks like a normal. It looks nothing like a black pastel. If you think it does, then you aren't understanding what features make a black pastel, and that's ok, cuz at one time, none of us did! The mor you look at pics of snakes and even more so, the more you look at snakes in person, the better you'll get at it. I suggest that if you still think your snake looks like a black pastel, then start your own thread and you'll get plenty of people who can help you see the difference.
