they are VERY good escape artists, so there is a good possibility that he may be able to get himself through that gap and out of the tank. chances are, he knows that gap is there and he will keep messing with it testing for places he can squeeze through. when you see him up there poking around, that is what he is doing. seriously--a rubbermaid or sterilite or whatever you can do to get him in a safer and more secure enclosure is your best bet.

I hope your snake isn't a BP, or that would be one tiny snake.
Anyways I doubt you stayed up all night with that black light watching to see if it would escape. So as I said that excuse isn't good.

By the way, you spelled "Jealous" wrong.

Thanks. I forgot, your perfect on spelling. Aperantly you didnt read writing below of my posts, heres a hint "CORN SNAKE". Can you guess what kind of snake that I have? No, I wouldnt stay up all night, but if I were to wake up during the night, I can glance over and see if hes still there. Duh... And, I didnt say I was going to stay up all night in the first place. Dont put words in my mouth. I know what I said.

    Blink-

Why are you turning an "already solved problem" into a "big problem"?

If you were to only glance, turning on the light for a second to check if its still there wouldn't harm your snake.
So unless you were planning on sitting the entire night with the light, it wouldn't matter ... right?

I just think its funny you made up a ridiculous excuse to cover up for posting the same thread four times for no reason.

Also, you realize you could of edited your post instead of double-posting.

you know what i have kinda noticed?

a lot of people (partically newer people) post the same thing more than once, in more than one place, or just argue, or make posts like "ok" or "i dont know about this, so i dont know what to post"

i think that they are just trying to raise their post count, so other people see it and think that they are know more about things, because most people only post informative things, most of the time, unless it is something that needs to be said, like this thread

agreed. hopefully this is something that will be taken care of soon, because it's really just a waste of everyone's time and it devalues the worth of the site altogether, which is just a shame.

Im done with this, you people can go on and on about it. Hey Mlededee I took your advice and bought a 96 quart plastic container. Its one of the longer ones. Its real nice too. Hopefully I wont have to worry about excaping. Thanks for your help Mlededee.

that's good--i'm glad your snake will be nice and secure now. you should be able to use that enclosure for the rest of his life--a good investment on your part.

Make sure to take a look at the threads on building snake enclosures, as well; Sterilite can hold humidity and heat differently than a glass enclosure can.
