Man, you people saying 50 bucks is expensive for a bp. I paid 100 for my captive bred baby. Then again, ball pythons are more expensive in Canada. But still, price shouldn't be a factor if you really want a healthy and happy ball python that will be with you for years to come. I say the extra money is well worth it. :D

The Accurite I purchased at Walmart was $15 but it did include the hygrometer. Are you sure it didn't have one, that seems odd to me?

Did you get the Accurite model? And they should have had the heating pad there too, near the pharmacy section.

do you think that it will be fine if i use a rubbermaid bowl as a water dish or should i buy a ceramic bowl i didn't check the pharamcy section becase i had no time i was only there for like 6 min i was looking for the bowl then i went to the outdoor applyances to look for the thermometer and then i went to go fine one of my own thing then i left

You can use a Rubbermaid, just be aware that you need to clean it much more thoroughly than a ceramic one, and it can't be sterilized in the oven.
When I go to shows, I generally bring $30 in cash for shirts or whatever, and then bring my debit card with me in case I find a once-in-a-lifetime buy. That way, it's not so easy for me to convince myself that I absolutely need that giant tank in the shape of an Elvis bust if I have to seek out an ATM and withdraw the money rather than just hand over cash for it. ;)
