For his own peace of mind. You could use pillows, books, boxes with openings so he can hide in if he wants,etc. Like I said they're slow so I wouldn't really worry - although making the space not so open and 'scary' to him might help. But I understand your a little worried so do what makes you feel better. After the first time, you'll get a feel for his speed, etc and will know your own comfort level for the next time you let him out. :)Quote:
