Actually, never mind. Since I see daybreaker linked to ssnakess, I'll link to rtb. If I get in trouble for it so be it. A mod can remove the link if they need to.

Here's the thread I was referring to. So now that I've linked to it, care to address my actual point?
    http://www.redtailboa.net/forums/jus...-saturday.html

And oh look, here you picked her up, posted this on 9-7-13:

So my point still stands. The maximum amount of time you could have had her quarantined was 1.5 months. Max.

I just thought about it and you're right, Shann. I got her September 7th. For some reason that was three months in my mind. You were right.HOWEVER, you need to go somewhere else if you're looking for an argument. I'm not going to play that game. We've all been immature on these forums. If you don't like what I post, just don't open my threads. It's seriously thay easy. Say what you want, post whatever links you want... I'm not replying to negativity. It's just uncalled for and stupid.

Edit: I just saw the links you posted and like I said in the beginning of this post... I did my math wrong. You were very right about that, and that was stupid of me.

    Erik,

This isn't something you want to mess up.

You need to get quarantine between boas and balls exactly right if there is a possible IDB issues with the boas.

I'm not talking just on a snake health issue here I'm speaking on your chances of ever selling a single ball python to anyone ever.

Lay out your quarantine rules, especially between species, or the previous posts are going to bite you in the butt - a lot.

I understand. My BCI that I thought showed signs of IBD is nowhere near my other boids. They are not coming into contact with each other AT ALL. Once I've been around Cupcake, the one I thought had IBD symptoms, I put my clothes in the washer, take a shower and I don't go near my other snakes. I do not think she has it but I'm not stupid enough to risk it.

Erik the thing is I now only reply to your threads when I am concerned about the animals wellbeing. I don't care about what you do with your life one bit, which is why I ignored the majority of your posts about opening up a breeding facility and arguing about being in college or not. But the snake you thought might have IBD is Cupcake. And you posted this on another forum just today:
    Quote:

Hey, Everyone. Picking up an awesome Albino red tail tomorrow [male].
My female has been cooling down for about a week. I plan on introducing them in like 4 weeks. He's 5 ft, she's 7', 18 LBS. Both mature enough to make some babies. However Cupcake is a little nervous when other people are in her cage. She's bitten me before, in just the few weeks I've had her! I'm nervous to put the male in there because I'm paying very good money for him, so I don't want him to get injured. Will she behave differently to other snakes or should I be worried about her biting him?
So this contradicts what you said above. You did go on to say that you would wait, which you should but this quote is my big concern:
    Quote:

*face palm* totally didn't even think about quarantine.
I've got several healthy snakes from the same person so I guess I didn't even think about quarantine.
Quarantine is majorly important. It has been stressed again and again so I'm not sure how you're "forgetting it" everytime you pick up a new animal. One sick snake can wipe out your whole collection. There are no second chances with that. And what's more, if you sell that animal to someone and it wipes out their collection (which it shouldn't with proper quarantine, but that's another story) they tell others that the animal came from you, and that could ruin your reputation as a breeder.

And since you don't believe your own quotes unless I 'prove' it here is the source.

Can you describe you QT protocols?
Maybe we can help you out and give suggestions if you're missing anything.
In this hobby, QT is no joke.

I'd also suggest actually QTing your Boas for at least a year. IBD can lay dormant up to a year before becoming active.

Hope your possible IBD snake is IBD free. Otherwise, that'll be bad for you and your entire collection.

I thought I QT'd Duma for three months but turns out it was two, need to pay more attention... Basically I just spend the first few months of QT watching the snakes behavior. If something seems off, they stay in QT. I like to make sure they poo, urate, and eat okay before considering putting the QT'd snake with the rest. I'm keeping cupcake QT'd for 6 months. Everyone has told me that pythons die very quickly when they get IBD, so if cupcake has it/transfers it to my collection, I'll know fairly quickly. Basically once cupcake is in with my collection, I'll get my Kahl from my aunt and keep him where Cupcake was kept. I have room to QT both of them, but I paid a lot of money for him... NO WAY IN THE WORLD I'm risking that.. Since the head wobble thing I've been very very cautious about QT. No one in my room, if I need to handle my snakes, I do it before I'm near cupcake, then I move onto cupcake. Once I'm done with her, I shower, throw my clothes in the washer and grab some new clothes, and I still don't go around my collection until the next day. It's not something casual. Whether or not anyone thinks I'm a responsible keeper, I'm not dumb enough to expose my snakes to something like a possible case of IBD.
