Re: shody breeder?
That was all in the first day I had him, it is now day 2. My humidity wouldn't have effected that, he was already doing a partial that u couldn't see in the picture. I soaked him in warm water and got it all of now. In the shipping box, there was still pieces of Vermiculite, he never moved them from the hatchbox, also he arrived freezing cold, the guy didn't put a heat pouch or anything else for heat

Re: shody breeder?
So the pastel has now shed, he has a lot of high blushing with very light tan, how would u rate him between 1-10, this will help me decide to try to do an exchange or ask for a discount or so forthhttp://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...43_1_thumb.jpghttp://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...1157_thumb.jpg

Re: shody breeder?
4. I would exchange him.
Hes already really brown for a pastel that small. Quality babies should be bright yellow, not tan, orange, or brown.

He's not the worst pastel I've seen nor the best, and as mentioned unattractive adults can still throw attractive babies. I would still be upset with the principle though that you didn't get the snake you wanted and paid for: it's just very bad business. I'd still contact them about their mistake and see how they want to make it right with you.

^^^ This right here. And as someone mentioned before, I would talk to him calmly. It could have been a genuine mistake. Judging by what you have said about his condition when he arrived I am inclined to think otherwise, but I am not perfect by no means 100% correct. Also as stated before, if he has any business sense he will work with you to fix the problem to your satisfaction.

i would keep him, and publically shame the seller.
for the snake, i would say permanent residence it is. its yours, deal is done, every snake needs a home.
for the breeder, communicate with him, and if it doesnt work out then name him, and shame him, publically. put it all over the internet that this is a douchebag who cuts corners, and who sells hatchlings before they had their first meal. and make it known that he lies about the BPs he sells. that includes naming that bad apple here. maybe he just screwed up, give him the benefit of the doubt, innocent until proven guilty, but if his response to make this right is unsatisfying, then keep the snake and go and destroy his reputation. name him, his real name, name his website, and shame him.
the only reasons not to publically name, blame and shame him would be: Missing information, or Cowardice on your end, or pending lawsuits and trials.

I''ll probably hang on to him, he's still a nice snake, im just not happy about not getting the one I asked for and not as bright as I would have liked for my first morph projects. And I'll wait to disclose names until they pick up there phone or return my call and see what they are willing to do to make it right.

shody breeder?
It's a bad situation to be in for sure. We had a similar issue earlier but the seller removed the picture and said we got the right one and the picture we where looking at was a sibling that had already sold. We where not happy...

Re: shody breeder?
It definitely looks like a Pastel, but definitely does not look like either of the snakes in the Breeder's picture. I tried matching up the patterns, but neither of them look even close to the one that was sent to you. Again, it is hard to be sure.. just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. He looks way better after his shed and is handsome none the less.
I would be pretty upset, based on principal alone. This is why I try to stay away from internet exchanges and prefer to wait until the shows come through town (or nearby). Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not you like the snake. Did you buy it strictly for breeding purposes or display/breeding? I'm sure you can either exchange it or work out a deal on another snake you might like.
There is a picture in my signature of my Pastel male that I picked up from Repticon in Jacksonville. The picture was taken about a week before he started his shed cycle. He is currently foggy eyed, so I'll take some pics after he's finished shedding.
