Who cares? As long its not an endangered species then i have no problem with it. It was on his property, its not like he went and looked for it somewhere. I kill squirrels, chipmunks, field mice, moles, voles, woodchucks and other critters that are a nuisance in my yard. Should i call animal control every time i want a squirrel removed from my yard? No, i just take care of it myself. I don't go around into my neighbors yards shooting their critters though.

Would i have been able to recognize the copperhead wasn't really a threat and relocated it safely? Sure thing. Would everybody be able to? No. Just because you're not afraid of something or were raised a certain way or have certain feelings doesn't mean everyone does.

copperhead won't kill you and its not hard to make a phone call for its safe removal.
The ironic part is that some of the "snake people" on this forum have no problem with it.

I bet you dudes have had plenty to say to defend 'certain' snakes....oh but not them 'Other' snakes they be ver'y scury and mah lohdi mah little puppeh and chill'den be in sooo much dangah.

I teach my kids that unless its a mosquito or a fly....you dont kill it. There is no darn reason for it.

Lets not forget how hard it is to pick up a phone for a safe removal.

I'm not a "snake person". I'm a person who has a snake. I also have a car, but don't consider myself a "car person". I have a cat and am not a "cat lad..." nevermind, I'm kind of a cat lady.

Anyway - I like snakes. That doesn't mean that I have to share every single opinion that every other person who likes snakes has. Whether we're talking about snakes, dogs, cats, or Ocelots named Baboo, I almost always view human safety as a priority over animals. It's just an opinion, there's nothing ironic about it.

I'm pretty sure you just made a general insult to anyone below the Mason Dixon line.

Anyway, your opinion is just that: yours. So, you live your life and everyone else will live theirs.

Though, you must be one of those people who are against spanking since all life is sacred right?

Just a thought here. Why is it ok to kill a mosquito or a fly and nothing else? They are living things too. Arn't they? Plus they won't kill you either.

I think you missed the part where I said animal removal people aren't available everywhere. So, yes, it is hard to just call for safe removal.

People also don't do these things for free. Billy the exterminator has a whole show about it.

I wouldn't even know who to call for a snake lol. Animal control in my area probably only does dogs and cats haha.

Usually MOST pest control services are trained in it. Other than that, animal control would probably kill it too in most areas.

A lot of people have no idea how to safely relocate a hot or any clue who to call to do so. The only more humane way to kill this snake would have been to destroy the brain tissue, *we* know this, most people don't. The dude was doing what he knew to protect his family.

I see nothing wrong with this video unless you're completely against the killing of all animals. If so you better be vegan, pretty sure meat animals get worse treatment.
