    Wow, really dude?

If that's the case you just quoted him, so are you going to get infracted for it?

When you say a word, and then put any @!#*(%@T*()@&#$) character like that in the middle, you get in trouble. It's the rules, so don't be so, hmm I won't say it.

He meant in the context of replacing letters in a curse word.

A bunch of prominent posters have an infraction or two, it doesnt prevent anyone from participating. Mods, correct me if I'm wrong, but at least some infractions, depending on the severity, have assigned time limits attached to them. My own single infraction was an honest mistake that could have been prevented by reading the terms and conditions of the site a little more carefully. I've learned from it and moved forward, and it expires in November, at which point I'd be out of the 'probation period'. The solution is simple: learn from the mistake and don't do it again and again. That's how people get kicked.

This is a family website and should be moderated as such. We are not necessarily "all adults here", and we are a great resource for, say, kids looking to get their first reptile, or a high school student doing a research project, as a few benign examples. Our threads are often the top Google results in commonly asked BP questions. As such, we should make an example to the infinite reach of the internet to hold to an appropriate level of respect and courtesy, and swearing doesnt fall under that umbrella.

You're right. I've been around since '08 and I have more infractions then most of the other users, excluding Mike who probably has me beat. They all expire unless they're serious, those don't expire. Most go away within a month or two.

There is not a rule-set on the planet, created by any man or even God, that EVERYONE can agree with. No matter what we choose to say or do regarding our rules, SOMEONE is going to disagree. We have our reasons for setting the rules we have, and we have our reasons for enforcing them the way we do. We believe those reasons are strong and sound. They are agreed upon by MANY people over a long stretch of time, so this isn't a matter of a single person dictating rules just to make your life miserable.

You don't have to agree with our rules, you just have to follow them if you wish to participate here. There is no doubt in my mind that you are intelligent enough to express yourself fully within the limits of the rules of this site. If you can do that, you're more than welcomed to stay and continue to learn about ball pythons and all the other animals discussed here.

YOU agreed on those rules upon registering.

If that is incompatible with YOU this is YOUR problem we are not gonna tailor our rules to your mindset or make exception because YOU think you are above those rules, or because you do not like them etc. I believe we have discussed this many time over in private and your public feet will not change a thing.

And I will say it again, this time publicly, rules work if they do not work for YOU you are welcome to find another forum or maybe even create your own which will be better suited for your needs rather then continually challenged OUR rules and the way OUR forum works.

You break the rules whether you like them or not then there are consequences, it is that simple whether it's here or in real life and I am sure your parents taught you that...........hope so.
