    I also suggest going to a reptile show. Youll see so many morphs there of different prices, youll be able to easily see what " speaks" to you. As for your purchase, im going to go against the grain here and say get a female. The reason why i recommend a female is that years later on if you decide your daughter no longer shows interest, you CAN recoup some of your investment on a grown up breedable female. Even single gene female morphs can get a good price if they are substantial in size/weight. Not nearly as much for males. Also, i know size does concern you with males vs. females, but females are not that significantly larger than males of the same age.
